Over 50 years ago, Howard Farmer felt a calling on his life, saw a vision, and started a ministry. Rev. Farmer and the late Madeline Farmer started their first church and an incredible journey. Seven children and several years later Reverend Farmer still preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The youngest of those Farmer siblings, Laura Caraway, her two children, Mandy Houston and Cory Turner, and her neice, Jenna Baker, took that name, that common bond, and started a mixed vocal group that in just two short years are already recognized from one end of the state to the other and everywhere in between, known as The Farmers.  In October of 2007 The Farmers released their debut album entitled, "Walk By Faith", which they recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with Eric Horner. The album features eight original songs written by the kids, a traditional hymn, and a family favorite. 

Laura is the "mom" of the group. She sings as well as plays the piano. Laura also handles the business for the group. She is featured on "I Need You Lord". Laura's husband, Glenden Caraway, helps with sound and set up.  

Mandy is the lead singer for the group. She is featured on songs such as "When He Saved Me" and "I Used To Feel That Way Too", both self-written, and "My Heart Is Surely Waiting", written by Cory, "Singing With The Angels", that she and Cory wrote together, and the classic hymn "Pass Me Not". Mandy's husband, Tosh Houston, controls the sound and together they have a son, Garrett. 

Cory is the youngest member of the group. He is featured on songs such as the album's title song "Walk By Faith", "Just A Hill", and "Witness Today", which are all penned by himself. He is also in charge of the media for the group. Cory's wife, April, heads up the product table as well as the business for the group and together they have a son, Gaither.

Jenna Baker is featured on a song that she penned entitled "Jesus Can Calm the Storm".  Jenna left the group in early 2009.  She and husband, Ryan Baker, are now pastoring a church in Oscar, KY.
